Personal Biography:

Bob Cabeza is an avid believer in bringing technology resources to children, teens, and families. He has worked in Youth Development and Administration with the YMCA for 15 years. He has also worked with The Foundation for the Junior Blind as the Director of Camp and Recreation for their forty- acre camp located in Malibu, CA. Bob spent three years doing outdoor education in Europe, mainly Switzerland, Austria and England. His passion is providing connections and resources to the underserved and physically challenged. He enjoys skiing, surfing, camping, sea kayaking, hiking, climbing, traveling, running, reading, and of course anything to do with technology. He has been married for six years and has a 3 year-old son named Luke.

Goals:

  1. Develop strategies to influence segments of the greater community in providing adequate technology to underserved communities.
  2. Learn about the cutting edge possibilities for Children, Teens, and Families regarding the usage of technology in every day life.
  3. Learn ways to advocate for the underserved communities in all areas, not just technology.
  4. Network, and share what's working up and down the state with technology-based programs in underserved communities.
  5. Learn good ways to link community based technology programs to in school learning for children and youth
