Session One: Personal & Community Vision

ZFellows will engage in activities to develop visions and strategies around strengthening their communities through discovering insights about the identity and formation of different communities, understanding the assets and needs of a community, and exploring approaches to strategic advocacy work.

Session Two: Local Strategies for Community Impact

ZFellows will focus on developing personal and technological tools to strengthen their ability to effect change in their communities. This will include self-assessment tools and discussions around personal leadership. In addition, fellows will work with technological tools that enhance community advocacy efforts.

Session Three: Strategic Advocacy

Utilizing the unique resources of the state capital, ZFellows will learn the nuts and bolts of policy advocacy, interact with key legislative and administrative players in community technology related issues, and engage in public policy discussions around information technology and its application in strengthening underserved communities.

Session Four: Innovative Partnerships

In this session ZFellows will have an opportunity to dialogue with industry leaders, learn about emerging trends and products and understand the importance of two-way dialogues between entrepreneurs and community leadership that go beyond philanthropy and charity.
