Web 2.0 is making it possible for folks to figure out who's doing what, when they're doing it, and where they're doing it. Why is this important? In the private sector, you have to do this because it helps you figure out the market for your goods or services. In the nonprofit world, sometimes you're so overwhelmed with trying to change your corner of the world that you simply don't have the resources to do this. The greatest potential of web 2.0 is that you can use the Internet to make connections and find information that was previously inaccessible. As a result, you don't have to be the single organization that does everything because that oftens spreads resources thin. Instead, you can be really good at one or two things and really build momentum around your strengths! More to follow...
