CTF ZFellow and grantee spotting! CTCNet just announced the winner of their 2007 Toni Stone Innovative Initiative Award: Melanie Stephens, the Executive Director of a former CTF grantee, Centro Latino de Education Popular in Los Angeles. Melanie was honored for her innovative approach to developing and implementing an effective Spanish literacy computer program, "LEAMOS", for immigrant and limited-English-proficiency (LEP) Spanish-speakers.

Melanie was along prestigious company, as Bob Cabeza, a Class I ZFellow and Executive Director of the YMCA-Long Beach, a grantee, was also nominated for the transformative program, The Youth Institute.
